April 2, 2012 – Chandler, AZ – This past weekend the Metal Mulisha General Brian Deegan was back in action behind the wheel of his #38 Lucas Oil/Metal Mulisha/Rockstar Ford truck, ready to defend his championship title in both the Pro Lite and Pro 2 Unlimited class.
After a very successful 2011, the Pro Lite Champion experienced a few mechanical issues in the first two rounds. Undeterred by the setback, The General and his pit know they have a few tweaks to make for the 2012 season, knowing that they have 13 more rounds ahead of him.
In Sunday’s Pro 2 race Brian reminded the others on the track why he was named Pro 2 Rookie of the Year in 2011 and why he is a driver to continue to look-out for. Brian finished the race second, after a close battle right at the end of the race.
“This wasn’t the perfect weekend; the team and I have some things we need to go back and get dialed down with the trucks, but I am excited about this season and getting back on the podiums the next round in California,” stated Deegan.
Deegan will be at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park, Lake Elsinore, CA on April 21 & 22 for the 3rd & 4th rounds of the LOORRS Series.
