Vertical Partners West, Atomik RC is proud to announce its partnership with Brian Deegan and the Metal Mulisha. Over the past year, Brian and the Atomik designers have been developing an exclusive line of Radio Control models that are set to release throughout the summer of 2012. The product line will follow Brian’s career progression from an icon of the freestyle motocross movement, to dominating short course and rally car racing.

“We are excited to be in the position to bring these cutting-edge vehicles to market in connection with such an icon of off-road motorsports. Brian Deegan and the entire Metal Mulisha team have been very supportive during the entire process and we vow to follow wherever “The General’s” career moves next,” says Clint Bower, President of Atomik RC.

The flagship of the line is a 1/4-scale radio controlled off-road motorcycle that boasts an electronic gyro stabilization system, providing gravity defying stability and ease-of-use. The bike was debuted last weekend at the Road to Recovery Charity Supercross Golf Tournament and the surrounding events in Las Vegas with overwhelming success.

The Brian Deegan Metal Mulisha 450 RC Dirtbike gives you the ability to feel the excitement and adrenaline usually reserved for those lucky enough to ride at the professional level. The bike features the tune-ability of full scale motorcycles, from adjustable aluminum oil filled shocks, true metal chain drive, readily available hop-up parts and a meticulously recreated scale graphic scheme of the actual Metal Mulisha team bikes.

“We feel the attitude, energy and passion that Brian Deegan brings to the table is a perfect fit for Atomik. Brian’s career started at a grass-roots level much like our company and like Metal Mulisha, we pride ourselves in staying true to our roots,” says Keith Wallace, Atomik RC’s Director of Sales & Marketing.

Metal Mulisha founder and co-owner Brian Deegan quoted “I’m excited to do a deal with Atomik RC, as they have the best, high-end RC platform on the market. They push the envelope, which goes right along with the Metal Mulisha brand!”

Brian Deegan, fired up his Pro 2 and opened the fight with a 52.413 on lap one in his #38 Rockstar/Metal Mulisha Ford.

” I had a good day at track today while qualifying 1st in Pro 2. During the Pro Lite, the upper A arm broke and flipped me during the 1st lap. Going for wins all weekend long, with nothing to lose! ” – Brian Deegan

SATURDAY:

Round three of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series kicked off with the LOORRS officials making the last minute decision to cancel today’s qualifying session due to track maintenance and driver safety so the track was a guessing game for most of the drivers.

Pro Lite Unlimited’s took the stage filling the track with 24 drivers ready make a point. With some of the best racing we’ve seen thus far this season, the Pro Lites had the crowd on their feet the entire time and left the crowd wanting more. The 2011 Pro Lite champion Brian Deegan battled his way through the pack to grab the top spot, overtaking Rj Anderson for the first place position with just one lap to go. Justin “Bean” Smith saw his first DNF of the season after getting tangled up with another Pro Lite newcomer. “Bean” suffered a broken upper link in the rear of the truck after flipping the truck and decided to pull it into the hot pits not wanting to risk destroying the truck for the entire weekend. After the race Bean said, “Tomorrow is about being aggressive. Our truck was running flawless and I can’t let these guys push me around”. Brian Deegan, Rj Anderson and Chris Brandt all took the top spots in the Pro Lite division.

Just as the heat started to take a toll on the crowd, the Pro 2 Unlimited’s took the track and from there on it was standing room only. Carl Renezeder took the green flag in the forth position and was on the hunt for his 97th shortcourse win only to come up short to none other than the Pro 2 champ and race winner; Brian Deegan.

Both Brian Deegan and Marty Hart finished in front of Renezeder rounding off the top 3 positions. Congrats Deegan! Get ready for Round 4!

SUNDAY:

This Pro 2 kicked off with Deegan right up front battling hard with Marty Hart and Rob MacCachren holding a top 3 position. Brian was looking like another promising podium finish, gunning down the top spot for 1st place. With just two laps remaining, and with all the fans on their feet; Deegan made a clean pass for the front spot as his truck billowed smoke across the whole track due to some motor issues. Deegan didn’t hold off, while pushing his truck across the checkered flag with a 5th place finish. Along with this unfortunate innocent in PRO 2… while racing in the Pro Lite class Deegan was leading and it was looking like a promising 1st place finish. With some dirty driving chasing down Deegan, some squid “no names” cleaned Deegan, taking him out of the race. It was a rough day today in round 4 but Deegan is still good on points in PRO 2 and is ready to take on round 5 & 6.

After a very successful 2011, the Pro Lite Champion experienced a few mechanical issues in the first two rounds. Undeterred by the setback, The General and his pit know they have a few tweaks to make for the 2012 season, knowing that they have 13 more rounds ahead of him.

In Sunday’s Pro 2 race Brian reminded the others on the track why he was named Pro 2 Rookie of the Year in 2011 and why he is a driver to continue to look-out for. Brian finished the race second, after a close battle right at the end of the race.

“This wasn’t the perfect weekend; the team and I have some things we need to go back and get dialed down with the trucks, but I am excited about this season and getting back on the podiums the next round in California,” stated Deegan.

Aftermarket parts do more than just make your ride look bad-ass, they are also extremely functional for all your needs. Pro Comp came down to the Compound and put their parts to the test, not just by anyone… but by the Metal Mulisha General himself, Brian Deegan.

The new Metal Mulisha bumpers feature cutting edge designs and heavy duty construction to give your truck a serious off road look unlike anything else available. Not only do they proudly wear the Metal Mulisha logo set off by mesh accents, they also feature sturdy mounts for off road lighting and an integral skid plate for serious protection. Metal Mulisha bumpers will set the standard for all truck bumpers to follow. Each bumper is manufactured out of cold rolled steel with 3/16″ 1/4″ mounting plates and powder coated in a two-stage matte black finish. Why not step up the attitude and get a set of matching side bars featuring uniquely styled laser cut steps. Metal Mulisha Nerf Steps are truly the next generation in side step technology. It features a 3 main tube with an innovative four-step drop down design with a cleated step plate. Each bar is custom-made for each application and provides one of the sturdiest attachments in the industry.

Each system is finished in black with blood red coils and emblazed with the Metal Mulisha name to let the world know how you roll.
